Feb 28, 2020 – IERUS Technologies partnered with Raytheon and others to produce the first radar antenna array for the U.S Army’s Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS) in less than 120 days.

In addition to Raytheon and IERUS, the team includes the following companies: Crane Aerospace & Electronics, Cummings Aerospace, Kord Technologies, Mercury Systems, and nLogic.

Michael Roesch, Executive Vice President of IERUS Technologies says, “We’re happy that IERUS is part of a team that is meeting critical milestones for their customers and developing field-deployable solutions so rapidly.”

Pajamas and Physics with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama

Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Raytheon planned on hosting a Girl Day event to share exciting opportunities for girls in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) on February 20, 2020. Some of our team members had also volunteered to help during this event! All were excited about the opportunity to grow STEM in the Huntsville/Madison area.

Due to some last-minute weather threats, the “official” event was postponed until later in the year. But the volunteers from IERUS were already en route and didn’t get the message. So what did they do, they came up with a unique way to learn STEM with pajamas and physics. Everyone had a blast and created some unique designs!

We look forward to the full Girls Day event in the future and being able to support it with Raytheon and the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama.

The night ended with the announcement of mentor/mentee pairings. The IERUS team looks forward to restarting their mentoring program this year.

The Young Professionals of IERUS Go Rock Climbing

November 25, 2019 — The Young Professionals of IERUS like to hang out with their peers outside of work, so every month they host a get-together to grow the team’s camaraderie.

For their latest event, the YPIs went to High Point Climbing and Fitness Gym to learn about top rope climbing and bouldering. This was a new activity for many group members, but they were excited for the challenge. Team member, Landon, spearheaded this event as this is his favorite hobby.

Most of the group learned that climbing is much more challenging than it looks. And that it also requires more technique and less strength than it seems it would. Overall, the YPIs had a great time and look forward to their next team outing!

The Young Professionals of IERUS Host a Trivia Night

July 15, 2019 — The IERUS team enjoys hosting fun events outside of work so that the team can bond and grow its camaraderie. For this event, the Young Professionals of IERUS (YPIs) held a lively trivia game night.

Long-time IERUS employees, Billy Todd and Sam Holliday, hosted this special event for the YPIs. They hosted the trivia game in the a Double Dare style, referencing a popular game show from the 90s.

This meant that if a team could not answer a trivia question, then they could dare the other team to try. In the event that the opposing team couldn’t answer either, then the original team had to participate in a fun challenge instead. These challenges included fun, silly tasks like trying to catch marshmallows in a cup or acting out charades.

The YPIs had a blast hanging out with each other outside of the work environment and getting to have fun with their peers.
