Pajamas and Physics with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama
Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Raytheon planned on hosting a Girl Day event to share exciting opportunities for girls in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) on February 20, 2020. Some of our team members had also volunteered to help during this event! All were excited about the opportunity to grow STEM in the Huntsville/Madison area.
Due to some last-minute weather threats, the “official” event was postponed until later in the year. But the volunteers from IERUS were already en route and didn’t get the message. So what did they do, they came up with a unique way to learn STEM with pajamas and physics. Everyone had a blast and created some unique designs!
We look forward to the full Girls Day event in the future and being able to support it with Raytheon and the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama.
